Course: Grove Parts (Domestic Cranes)

Prerequisite:

Online E-training of Intro to Crane Care Parts OR (1) year of Grove Crane Parts experience.
Content:The Grove Domestic Crane Parts course allows distributor parts personnel to become more familiar with the Grove domestic crane models. Topics covered during the course include terminology and technology, model designations, and proper use of Grove parts manuals and the Grove CAPX system. We will also utilize the Parts Handbook which provides a full understanding of the parts code system and will give students the ability to decode hoses, fittings, and fasteners.

The course begins with a walk through the history of the Grove organization. Special emphasis is placed on Grove Terminology and Technology to ensure all attendees are using the correct terminology as it pertains to Grove parts.

Attendees will receive instruction on proper use of Grove parts manuals and locating Grove parts on the Grove CAPX system. Students will complete parts search exercises in the classroom using Grove parts manuals and the Grove CAPX system.
Objectives:Upon course completion the student will:
  • Know the history of the Grove domestic cranes and how some of the applied technologies have evolved.
  • Be able to more efficiently locate Grove parts, saving their service departments time.
  • Be able to use the Grove parts manuals more effectively.
  • Have a resource to decode Grove hoses, fittings and fasteners.
  • Be better equipped to communicate with Grove parts personnel.
